FIRST ARTSOUL EXHIBITION IN CAPE TOWN

On 3rd January 2024, Artsoul hosted its first Art Exhibition pop-up in Cape Town, South Africa. The event took place at Hearty Collective, and was a three-part artistic curation, including both; visual art, photography and a short film documentary.

The concept behind the art aimed to shed light on the philosophy of metaphysics, provoking the idea that the human experience here on earth comprises of both a physical and non-physical reality whereby every individual has a ‘soul’. Each artistic discipline focused on the various phases of self-awareness that a human soul needs to undergo in the journey towards discovering its ‘blue flame’. When a person is said to have "found their blue flame" it means that their passion and talent intersect, thus enabling a soul to harness the true power of its purpose here on this earth. The reason for existing.

Every person has a soul, but the personality is often limited by its perception of the five senses and is not fully aware of the existence of its soul, and, therefore, cannot recognize the influences of its soul. Our heightened state of consciousness is what guides our evolution from 5-sensory humans into multisensory beings. Our five senses, together, form a single sensory system that is designed to perceive physical reality. The perception of a multisensory human, however, extends beyond the physical reality and into the metaphysical realm. If you desire to know your soul, you first need to acknowledge that you have a soul. This requires the understanding of the distinction between the personality and the soul. Your personality is that part of you that was born into, lives within and will die within time. To be human and to have a personality are the same thing. Your personality, like your body, is the vehicle of your evolution. The decisions that you make and the actions that you take upon this Earth are the means by which you evolve. The personality can be loving, compassionate and wise in its relation to others, but love, compassion and wisdom do not come from the personality. These are experiences of the soul. It is that part of you that is immortal. When the personality comes to serve its soul, that is authentic empowerment.
